Alexander Karnyukhin (b. 1988, Russia) grew up in an industrial city in the Ural Mountains. He earned his first degree there but soon discovered a strong passion for photography. In 2011, he moved to Moscow to pursue this passion, enrolling in the Photography program at the British Higher School of Design, affiliated with the University of Hertfordshire, England.

During his studies, Alexander began his professional journey as a lead photographer for FOTT, a prominent men's fashion retail project in Russia at the time. There, he gained valuable experience creating advertising campaigns, lookbooks, and other visual content that shaped the brand's identity.

After graduating, Alexander collaborated with major fashion publications, including Esquire, Wonderzine, GQ, and Buro 24/7. His work eventually led to a long-term partnership with Forbes magazine, where he photographed over 14 cover stories featuring influential business leaders. This exposure brought him to the attention of Eight-Agency, a leading agency for photographers in Russia, allowing him to expand his portfolio to include global brands like Reebok, Puma, and Adidas.

In addition to commercial projects, Alexander has worked on portraits of notable figures in art, sports, and business. His collaborations have ranged from Olympic champions featured in Reebok campaigns to artists and cultural icons for Esquire. Some of these works have been exhibited internationally, showcasing his evolving creative vision.

In 2023, Alexander relocated to New York City, where he continues to work on advertising and editorial photography while also developing personal projects and exhibiting his work.
